First the cookie has pressure exerted onto it until it cannot hold its uniformity and thus, it crumbles.
Howdy!
I think that sometimes, we as people feel just like that cookie. One minute we are freshly out of the oven admired by many in our casual solidified state, and the next, someone just takes us and gives us so much pressure that we inevitably break apart. Whether the "someone" is an actual person or something in our life, we usually crack under immense amounts of pressure. Its perfectly natural simply because humans are weak by nature and we tend to listen to what other people have to say about us more than we listen to ourselves. Now the amount of pressure you can handle may vary with each person, but it still begins to eat away at your soul until your foundation starts to crack and falls down. Although, I would have to say that the only exception to complete crumbs would have to be Jesus. He has said countless times that He is the Rock of Salvation! If you build up a house on the beach, it may stand for awhile, but once the waves start acting up and you have a hurricane up ahead, then each and every time, that house will surely fall. On the other hand, if you build your house away from sand and you first dig a very deep hole and fill it with cement, then the house would have a better chance to stand up against even the mightiest storms. Jesus is that slab of concrete! He provides us with a sturdy foundation that can never be torn down no matter what kind of pressures may come our way. The thing that we need to realize is...the slab will prevent your house from falling, but the storm is going to keep on coming. Jesus has promised us not that all pain would end, but that He will be there to comfort us whenever we need comforting. That way, when hardships come, you won't have to worry about the house falling, but instead you can worry about things that you must come to reconcile with; your family, your friends, co-workers and everyone that is in your life. Jesus will comfort us and He will give us a place of security in the midst of the storm!
It's really late so I'm going to cut this short since I'm half asleep while typing this. If this is a dream, then I won't see this in the morning. I might just possibly be "sleep-typing"...I have done this in the past so be wary!
